Dressing made easy for short women - Tips and tricks!

Welcome back. A warm group hug to all of you :) I am back with the dressing made easy series yet again! This time I'm going to address the shorter women from the lot. I am one of such a kind as well :P Okay, before we get-set-go, I want to thank all of my readers for the warm support, I mean I can say it hundreds and thousand times every time :D You all are truly the best!
Now all the 5'4" under( myself included :P ), get a leg up on the competition with these wardrobe tips! Enjoy!

Petite and Vintage Clothes - You would need a lot of petite clothes in your wardrobe. Also vintage dresses which were actually designed for petite/short women are a must have. Petite clothes are tailored for shorter women!
Dress all in one color - This will make you look taller ;) Select dresses instead of skirts. Skirts would divide your body into half and hence your legs will appear short.
Visually interesting tops - Wear tops that draw the attention up, away from your legs! V-neck dresses and tops helps elongate your body frame. Also avoid tops that end at your hip bone. They will make your leg look stubby :/
Small Prints - Never wear prints/pattern that are bigger than your fist! Important fashion essential tip :)
Wide-Leg Pants - Try wide leg pants to elongate your frame. Pair heels with them , with the pants hem almost reaching the bottom of the heels. Avoids cropped pants, which makes short legs appear more short :/
Ankle length dresses or dresses just above the knee - Try dresses that are a little above your knee or ankle length for best results. This creates an illusion of a lengthened bottom half. Anything in between will cut your silhouette into half which is not what we want! ;)
Backless shoes and High Heels - Wear backless footwear with dresses, they create one long, unbroken leg line. A big NO-NO to ankle straps as they will cut you off just where you need the illusion of length. Best tip - platform heels are your best friend!!!
Another important point to remember is to reduce the amount of layering. Layering clothes for short women makes them look wider and hence shorter!
