Review: Maybelline Super Stay 14-hr Lipstick

Hello Birdies!!

How are you guys doing?! Yesterday I experienced the first snowfall of my life. It was incredibly beautiful. I jumped, I sang, I laughed, I was totally insane. That was indeed such a lovely experience. Hoping to see more snowfall and cherish every moment! :). Anyways, today I'd be reviewing about the lipsticks that has been with me for more than 6 months now and I love how they turn my lips into, very vibrant.

I am talking about the Maybelline Super Stay 14-hr lipstick and particularly about two of them from this collection.

1. Stay with me coral ( no.430)

2. Infinitely Fuchsia(no.160)

Alright!! lets get started.

I got these lipsticks while I was in India and ever since then I love the lipsticks from this range. The colors are absolutely the must haves in your vanity and are damn gorgeous. I wear them most of the times and would definitely try out other colors for sure.

Lets check the swatches and see how deep and pigmented these colors are:

See!! very pigmented and they are kind of having a matte finish. As the product claims, the longetivity of the color is pretty good. It stays intact for about 9-10 hours.

Price: Rs. 525/- INR and about $6.94 in the US.

Okay, talking about the colors that I own, I love Fuchsia!! and this color that you see above called Infinitely Fuchsia is so perf for almost all skin tones. I highly recommend this color, it blends well and can be used on all type of occasions and it'll make your lips look vivacious.

The second color, coral of course!!! As you guys know coral has been trending these days and you see so many varieties of corals available in the market it is very difficult to find that perfect coral. It was hard for me too. I would dig every corner of the drug store to find that "Oh so coral' color and finally one day I found this lipstick that was waving at me :P I fell in love the moment I saw this gorgeous beauty. As you can see in the pics above the Coral is equally vibrant as the fuchsia, that's the specialty of this range. Perfect for parties and a must have color for spring and summer.

My experience with Maybelline Super Stay 14-hr:

1. Longetivity is really cool. Lasts for 9-10 hrs perfectly.

2. Makes lips dry. I have to apply chap sticks over the lipstick to prevent my lips looking chapped.(you can see it in the lip swatches below)

3. I love the taste :P It has peppermint-y taste and smells like some peppermint candy.

4. May be I've already said this a thousand times, the colors are super pigmented and very vibrant.

5. Packaging is simple, you can see the colors through a transparent case of the lipstick.

6. Very matte, so guys please moisturize your lips before you apply this lippy on. Else you'll end up having flakes showing up on your lips which is aweful. Apart from that I am totally loving both the lippys :)

And I guess that's pretty much all I have to say about this product.

Overall rating: 4/5 stars!! - Very Good

And yes!!! I'd love to purchase more from this range.

Get Ready with Me - Arabic Chic!

Hey Guys!

A very warm hug to all of you and a very Happy New Year!!! yayy!!! I am back after the vacation, feeling relaxed and de-stressed :P. I had a wonderful 2013. Hope all of you too had a good year as well. Many major life events took place in my life last year and am very hopeful about it this year as well. :) I had been to Panama City beach in December and had a chilly willy time :D

And now am back! I missed you guys , read all your emails and this time I found an interesting request which I was actually looking forward to do it myself. So, its gonna be a Arabic chic inspired -"Get ready with me". Sounds fun han!! ok! lets get started right away!!!

Firstly, wash your face and hands(sanitize your hands). Apply a moisturizer that suits your skin. Once you're done, take the foundation of your choice. I have taken mine from the Revlon's photoready in the shade 004 N*de. What I found in this foundation is, it has some glittery particles that reflects light, this kind of brings brightness to your face and therefore you are photo-ready!! hehehe.

I would get into the eye make up majorly.

Step 1: Apply primer, mine is from Elf. Then take a whitey shade(1, NYX smokey eye pallete) preferably shimmery. Apply it on your brow bone area and also on your eye lids. Now add a champagne brown(2) color between the whites you just applied.

Step 3: Using a black eye shadow outline the white of the eye lid as shown in the picture below:

Step 3: Intensify the black color to add more glamorous effect. With the black eye shadow again, wing out as seen in the picture. And now add the same shimmery white in between the area that looks like "V".

Step 4: Add false eye lashes at this point, I used the one from elf. Next line your lashes. Add some silver eye shadow(1,2 from the coastal scents) to your eye lids without disturbing the black outline. Also, add the champagne brown just to intensify the look.

Tada!! Ready with the eye make up.

Now conceal your under eyes. Add some blush , I used the NYX blush in pinched perrrrrfect for me! <3

I also highlighted my cheek a little bit with the Revlon face illuminator. Contoured my nose chin and temples of my face a bit with the same blush. Added a n*de lipstick( Lakme - enrich satins #133) topped it with a lip gloss - B&BW in vanilla cupcake(Delicious!). Also added a lil bit of maybelline 24 hr lippy- stay with me coral to complete the look!!!
